Naturalist Chris will be reading stories about nocturnal animals, nature at night, and animals on their way to sleep. Families can grab dinner (or snacks) at the new Blue Manatee café. Enright Ridge Urban Eco-village Tour and Hike 1:00-4:00 pm For Entire Family, Not Stroller Accessible, Not Wheelchair Accessible, Restrooms Available, Program Cancelled in Case of Rain Host site: Building on Corner of West 8th and Enright, 3647 West Eighth, Cincinnati, OH 45205 Join us for a walking tour of Cincinnati's own urban eco-village! Learn about how this community in Price Hill is making strides in sustainable living. Find out how you can live more ecologically. Take our tour featuring houses that have been rehabbed ecologically, see the gardens of Enright including our Community Common area, and take a short hike on the residential trail through our wooded ridge-top.Tours begin every hour. Geocaching 101 2:00-4:00 pm For Entire Family, Not Stroller Accessible, Not WheelchairAccessible, Restrooms Available, Program Cancelled in Case of Rain Join us for a general overview presentation on Geocaching and then expierence the hunt by finding caches hidden just for the event. Members will help with GPS's. Cosmic Walk 8:00-9:00 pm For Adults, Not Stroller Accessible, Not Wheelchair Accessible, Restrooms Available, Program Cancelled in Case of Rain Experience awe and wonder and the magnificence of the Cosmos under the star-filled night sky. The Cosmic Walk retells the 13.7 billion year story of the Universe and Earths 4.5 billion year journey. This participatory walk blends science and reflection and helps reawaken a sense of the interconnectedness of the Web of Life. |
