Volunteer Opportunities

Office Assistant
Assist the Imago staff in running the front office/ reception area by performing general office duties.  If you want a position where you can have regularly-scheduled volunteer time in a relaxed setting while learning about the workings of nonprofit organization, then this position is perfect for you!

Naturalist/Environmental Educator
Teach students and scout groups about nature and what they can do to help the environment.  If you have previous teaching experience or are looking for a way to gain that experience, this position is a great fit!  Availability 2 weekdays a month (from 9am to 2pm) and commitment to our training program are essential.

Helping Hand Volunteers
Assist Imago by staffing special events (such as the Music in the Woods Benefit, the Nature Egg Hunt, etc.) and working on special projects (mailings, phone campaigns, committees, etc.).  Volunteer tasks are varied and interesting.  This position is perfect for people with busy/irregular schedules, we'll let you know what's coming up and you let us know if you can help

Habitat Restoration/Outdoor Beautification
Help us with improving the biodiversity on our 16 acre nature preserve, or with beautification work at Imago. This is a great opportunity for individuals but also for groups. Come to one of our regularly scheduled Beautification Saturdays or schedule a time for your group to come out.

Volunteer Projects
Volunteer Projects are a projects that we need your special talents for. There is a beginning and an end to the project so these are great for people who want to volunteer but have a time restriction. Volunteer Projects Listed below are some of the volunteer projects that we could use your help with.

Junior Camp Counselor
We are looking for young adults ages 14-18 who can help out during our summer camps. Jr. Camp Counselors will be asked to assist the camp counselors with crafts, games, hikes, and other fun camp activities.

Mural Painting
If you would like to help decorate our building, we are looking for a creative person to paint a mural in a bathroom.

Videography
If you have some spare time during the week, we are looking for a person to film our school programs, we will use this footage to create training videos for our naturalists. You could film and edit or simply film and let another volunteer work on the editing.
